The Call Parade: how brands can use art to send messages to their customers!

VIVO ( formerly known as Telefonica Brasil, mobile network provider in Europe, United States and Latin America ) used art to fight against the vandalism that happens everyday in Sao Paulo, 25% of the public phones in Sao Paulo being destroyed every year.

In order to stop people from destroying them, Vivo Brazil launched on may 22 an initiative that had as main purpose changing the way that people see the public phones. So, they painted all the payphones from the center of Sao Paulo in different colors, each of them presenting a different design. In other words, they made the streets of Sao Paulo more interesting, more beautiful.

During one week ( starting on may 22 and ending on june 24 ), local artist and anonymous citizens exposed their designs on the streets of Sao Paulo, giving them colour and an artistic touch.
